چکیده

Abstract Background Pectin is a key substance involved in cell wall development, and the galacturonosyltransferases (GAUTs) gene family critical participant pectin synthesis pathway. Systematic comprehensive research on GAUTs has not been performed cotton. Analysis of evolution expression patterns GAUT different cotton species needed to increase knowledge function fiber development. Results In this study, we have identified 131 genes genomes four Gossypium ( G. raimondii , barbadense hirsutum arboreum ), classified them as GAUT-A GAUT-B GAUT-C which coding probable galacturonosyltransferases. Among them, encode proteins GAUT1 GAUT15. All except for GAUT7 contain conserved glycosyl transferase 8 domain (H-DN-A-SVV-S-V-H-T-F). The sequence PLN (phospholamban) 02769 domain. According cis -elemet analysis, transcript levels may be regulated by hormones such JA, GA, SA, ABA, Me-JA, IAA. transcription upland lines with strength were analyzed. Peak level GhGAUT observed before 15 DPA. six materials high strength, concentrated from 10 DPA; while highest low detected between 5 These results lays foundation future during Conclusions affect including elongation thickening. lines, mainly participate elongation, whereas their major effect related both

A Genome-Scale Analysis of the PIN Gene Family Reveals Its Functions in Cotton Fiber Development

The PIN-FORMED (PIN) protein, the most important polar auxin transporter, plays a critical role in the distribution of auxin and controls multiple biological processes. However, characterizations and functions of this gene family have not been identified in cotton. Here, we identified the PIN family in Gossypium hirsutum, Gossypium arboreum, and Gossypium raimondii. This gene family was divided...

Genome-wide identification of multifunctional laccase gene family in cotton (Gossypium spp.); expression and biochemical analysis during fiber development

The single-celled cotton fibers, produced from seed coat epidermal cells are the largest natural source of textile fibers. The economic value of cotton fiber lies in its length and quality. The multifunctional laccase enzymes play important roles in cell elongation, lignification and pigmentation in plants and could play crucial role in cotton fiber quality. Genome-wide analysis of cultivated a...

Gene Family: Structure, Organization and Evolution

Gene families are considered as groups of homologous genes which they share very similar sequences and they may have identical functions. Members of gene families may be found in tandem repeats or interspersed through the genome. These sequences are copies of the ancestral genes which have underwent changes. The multiple copies of each gene in a family were constructed based on gene duplicati...

Effect of Late Planting and Shading on Cellulose Synthesis during Cotton Fiber Secondary Wall Development

Cotton-rapeseed or cotton-wheat double cropping systems are popular in the Yangtze River Valley and Yellow River Valley of China. Due to the competition of temperature and light resources during the growing season of double cropping system, cotton is generally late-germinating and late-maturing and has to suffer from the coupling of declining temperature and low light especially in the late gro...
